That's all. Just wondering which is proper as a description. Or both? One more than the other?
This particular knife is a hammer brand. Purple on one side and a multi color swirl on the other. Doesn't seem to be celluloid.

Shadow. A Birdseye pattern has larger blade pins/rivets.
For example

Im not sure to be honest. It feels more modern, if that makes any sense. The surface texture and opacity seem unlike other old plastic. Like maybe its acrylic? I haven't had any other's like this though. If it was rehandled I'd suspect the original was an advert knife, but then I've only seen those in tipped bolster knives.

So when I got this it was....encrusted. In something sticky. I cleaned it with soap and water, then with a micro abrasive sponge. In this process the brass rivet pins shined up. The blade steel is basically as it was, just some fine steel wool for some surface rust.
Im wondering, are the pins not correct for the knife, or time period, in your estimation? Or is it because they lack the 70 years of patina?

That's all. I just thought the pins looked nice and new. Didn't know you gave it a shine. I don't have any opinions other than it's a nice little knife. I'm partial to nice celluloid or whatever the covers are. They were very common when I was a kid.
