Will post a picture found a KA-BAR pocket fish knife in my dad’s knives. Actually looked closer at it last night. Think it is a salesman sample has grease pencil on it. And etched that says endorsed by Zane Grey. Anyone heard of that.

Yes. Kabar, generally called a fly fisherman’s knife IIRC. I’ve seen several sold on eBay, there’s one listed BIN there now that has been there a good while, which tells me the asking price is probably too high. ::shrug:: Not sure if there’s been any sold recently but you can check eBay sold listings.

Thank you very much Ken.
Have another it’s an imperial grease pencil on it also no etching. Nor does it have the stone in the handle

Nice example Joe. ::tu:: I've seen the Zane Grey endorsed versions with both yellow and black covers. They were sold by several different sporting goods firms, usually with the company's name on them

Be careful about assuming anything about numbers or writing on blades meaning it's a salesman's sample. It might or might not be, but I've got a marker too! For some reason some people seem to think that makes them more valuable. ::shrug::

I am adding both fish knives even though the one is an Imperial. My father bought a Remington salesman knife roll I’m not sure where or when. Think the story goes he had to borrow money from a friend. I no longer have the roll think I pictures some where. It was the fixed blade roll. It had kbar’s,2 beautiful Remingtons kinfolk and western. Have all of those some of them have some rust. Long story longer. When I compare the writing on the fish knives and fixed blades it looks the same.
Enjoy

That’s a different Zane Grey endorsed Kabar than I’ve seen before. It’s not the fly fisherman model I am familiar with. My previous posts are concerning the fly fisherman’s knife

Going to add a few pictures. Beautiful KBar, another 11 knives that were in a Remington R-H-12 salesman roll that my dad had. Only 2 Remington fixed blades Rh28 and RH73. Some of the knives have some rust so does the roll. I have also included a picture of a Remington fixed blade book by Don Grym 1991 copy right. Page 82 has the roll too the best of my knowledge from the picture in the book. Enjoy.
