All About Pocket Knives

I have one more Winchester here to ask about. I have a lot of the blue grass Winchesters but very few older ones. Does this look like original bone? Blade appears used and handles look great yet. Thanks so much for your help!

I would say bone is not right. Harold

The inletting around the shield and shield pins look bad. I believe it to have been rehandled, at best.
The front bolster also looks oddly flat to me, but I am absolutely NOT familiar enough with Winchester knives to say for sure. It just reminds me of some earlier Parker knives made in Alabama.
So at worst, it might be a cobbled knife.
But I hope to hear from the experts , and learn more!

Sorry to say this, but that whole knife is a bad fake. Try to find a pic of a real one and the differences will become evident.

Ok thanks for that info. I will retire it so no one else gets a hold of it. I bought 3 knives together on an auction with not too clear pictures and didn’t pay a lot.

Looks like a good user.

Bluegrass(Queen) did make them in peachseed but they dont look like this knife. I dont have this knife but have others in peachseed.
