Hi everyone.
Is there any way to tighten up side to side blade wobble in an older slip joint other than having it professionally done?
TIA

Here’s one of many threads here on the subject.
https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... le#p519837 Be sure to read all the posts for pros and cons, advice, limitations and precautions.
More can be found by using the “Search” function which can be found by clicking on Quicklinks on the upper left of this thread (the little three stacked lines icon on some browsers). From there scroll down the drop-down menu and click on Search. Search for keyword “wobble”.

All good responses in above.
I have found the vice method or squeezing adjustable priers work fairly well. Be sure
to protect the bolsters with thin wood, leather, or thick painters tape. Don't over do
it- I have sometimes gone a little too far and made the blades too difficult to move.
