The choil on the main blade isn’t right to me.

Classic signs of a cold stamp. Mashed into the metal, lack of crisp edges, presence of rounded corners on the letters, etc. See ends and corners of letters on T’s , E’s, and X’s. An authentic stamp has squared corners on the letters and appears crisply cut into the metal, not mashed.
The “shadow” original stamp seen on this one is a dead give-away though. Looks like the forger attempted to shave the tang more shallowly, possibly in an attempt to a retain more of the original shoulder grind. I agree, the choil on the master blade doesn’t look right for a Case blade either.

And the "C" curving around and touching the top of the "A" as is the case of most of these Tenn. Fake stamps

The seller has removed this knife from the auction.

No, there is a section for counterfeit though to give a reference for everyone in one spot to learn what to look for. It streamlines searching and is kind of a pictorial guide of how to spot them all in one place. Thanks for the post though, I enjoyed to replies on how to spot cold stamps.

Unless a moderator has moved it this was posted in the “counterfeit watch” thread in the beginning. At least, that’s where it is now and where it was the first time I saw it.
