I have a Camillus Mark 2 Navy fighting knife and it has dried paint on the handle. How can I remove it without damaging the leather.

Maybe a picture would raise some ideas. J.O'.

A Q-tip moistened with MEK & applied to the paint. Allow to set for 10 minutes & use a knife w/ blade held vertical to surface, gently scrape paint. Repeat if necessary & then use your preferred leather treatment. If MEK isn't available, lacquer thinner can be substituted

To save a trip, nail polish remover if you already have it, is a lighter weight solvent than MEC too. Could try that and the same method.

If it is just a couple drops, usually they will sort of pop off if you pick at them.

If the handle is fully coated you will have to use some kind of thinner to strip it off. Maybe the cirrus stripper? .

It would be great to see pictures of the problem knife.
