All About Pocket Knives

I picked up this old Robeson this past weekend. It looks to have the arched 1917-1939 tang stamp, but I don't see any other markings.

Could someone here help me identify this knife? Also, Stag or Bone?

I'm pretty sure it jigged bone but don't have a clue about the pattern of the knife.

Barehead jack? Barehead because it only has a bolster at the pivot end, and a jack because it has 2 blades that pivot on the same end. Some nice looking bone on that old guy.

Dating a Robeson by a tang stamp other than that on the master blade is not possible. They are meaningless.

Don’t know why the master is not marked . If it’s been replaced, it was very well done,

Given the pattern, which I don’t think continued after WWII, and the bone, I’d say 1930’s or 40’s.

Are you sure there’s no markings on the master?

You are right! It is very worn but I was able to clean up the master a little to see the mark below.

I have this knife at 3 3/8". I don't think it's ever been carried.
Could it be like yours?
Like yours, it has no pattern number on the back of the tang.

Wow! That is a beauty! Yes 3 3/8" looks to be the same knife.
