Great pattern and nice knife.
I sure wish Buck would bring those back. Even if it’s just for a Buck of the Month or a Stealth Run.

Was looking for one of those for years. Then I found an almost-new script-tang one for cheap. Recently got a NIB 703 from pawnshop. Did the older script tang ones have 440C steel blades?

I’m not sure when Buck stopped using the script font but they switched from 440C to 425M in mid 1980. Then they switched to 420HC in 1994.
Maybe someone will come along with a more accurate answer.
