All About Pocket Knives

I’m new to these knives and I’m just wondering if anyone else has seen one of these first models, using this blade configuration, that doesn’t have a manufacturer on the bail? I’m wondering if Kingston or Stevenson might have been worn off. Thanks for any & all help.

The Stevenson knives were stamped deeply on their bails. It is possible an umarked bail slipped through, also the Stevenson knives were stamped US over the dimpling.

I’ve seen ones like yours before pretty sure it is a Kingston. I think they were marked with a blade etch.

I have several USMC marked handles with well marked Kingston on the bail. I think the OP knife is a civilian model.

I didn’t even think of that. This is just a knife that I saw & thought it was odd not having a name on it.

Its a nice early knife.
