I have recently been able to go through some factory papers from Napanoch Knife co. Included is a ledger with entries dating from 1936-1941. There are many entries pertaining to Marble’s. Here is the first entry. I do not know much about Marble knives as I do not own one. Thought this may be interesting to collectors here. There is also an invoice for Dwight Divine & Sons to do some grinding work. Interestingly there is a marbles knife marked Napanoch in the Wawarsing museum.

Very cool, early Marble's Arms too.
I like old pieces like this. I am into antique pocket watches too and occasionally an old factory doc surfaces, really brings in the sense of History.
Nice find !

Jay that's pure gold right there, great info straight from the source! The 83 was the small safety folding knife and the 85 was the large model. That's quite an order, over 300 of each knife!

Awesome connection between Marble and Napanoch, thanks for posting this. 💯

Schmeling's book goes into detail on the pattern numbers.

Thanks guys. Does anyone know if the Marbles E toes were the same as the early Naps. And are the Case bro’s or WR Case and Son/son’s early examples constructed the same as Marbles and/or Naps. Any info would be much appreciated

There's some info in Dunathan's book about these, will have to look tonight when I get home.
