February 2024 Knife Giveaway

This month we continue a long-standing February tradition with the monthly knife giveaway with an anonymous donation from a veteran AAPK member. This year the donation is a top-quality heavy-duty Camillus Official BSA Adventurer complete with original (and correct) black top-grain cowhide sheath with plain snap and Tenderfoot emblem.

This non-locking single-rivet knife is 4 ¾“ closed with a corrosion-resistant stainless steel 3 ½" blade etched with ADVENTURER/B.S.A. over the Tenderfoot emblem. This BSA Model #1375 only appeared in the 1986-1988 Scout supply catalogs and showed the hole with the leather loop and the durable Delrin handles.

Instructions for entering the giveaway...

Simply click here and select a number between 0 and 999.

You will have until February 29th (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number, after which entries will not be considered. The Illinois State Lottery evening pick-three drawing will determine the winner on February 29th. The individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

To be eligible to win, you must be 18 years of age and either (a) have made at least 100 total forum posts at the time of entering the monthly giveaway or (b) have previously donated successfully to at least one prior monthly knife giveaway.

Please ensure that your Board Preferences Miscellaneous Notifications are set to notify you via email when someone sends you a Private Message (PM) to ensure the time requirements below are met.

The first-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM after the drawing and will have three days to respond with contact and shipping information. If the first-place winner does not respond within three days, the knife will be offered to the next player on the list without going over.

The next-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM, and they will have one day to respond with contact and shipping information. If the next-place winner does not respond within one day, the knife will be offered in the same manner to the next player on the list without going over.

What a super cool piece of American Cutlery History to add to my collection!!! This baby will remain in mint condition in my little show case along with my other treasured pieces of cutlery that fill my knifer's heart with pride & joy. ::nod:: I am totaly stoked about my good fortune! ::nod:: ::ds:: ::groove::

Whats funny is, I have a cool dentist & I have been going to him for at least 10 years now. I though it was time to show him some appreciation so I decided to give him a Case XX Mini Copperhead pocket knife. I took a bunch of pictures of it, picked out the better pictures, had a collage printed out, framed it, wrapped it all up nice along with a card & two pages of "History" about knives in general & about W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery & Zippo on so on & so on, and on Thursday evening after some Root Canal fun, I gave it to him. That was on Feb. 29th around 17:45 p.m.. Some 10-12 ??? hours latter, I have the winning # for this beautiful Camillus. I find that amazing! :shock: ::nod:: It blows my mind! ::hmm::

Thanks again for this beautiful piece of American Cutlery History! ::handshake::
