All About Pocket Knives

I came across a Case xx Barlow knife from 1978 that looked strange. The shape of the bare end of the knife was slanted on the top and bottom of the knife. Does anyone know if Case made a Barlow with slanted ends instead of rounded ends? I thought maybe someone has some knowledge about this. I would like to make an offer for it but I have never seen or heard of this variant. Thanks for any feedback that is given.
