My No Line Family

Someone recently requested a pic of my no line tang stamp Camillus collection. The 83 and Marlin Spike almost don't fit but they are no lines that continued for a while.

Very nice no line collection. That 72 no line has got to be a hard one to find ! How long have you had that one ?

#83 gives me some doubts. The color of the handle looks like it was from the 60s, which means there should be a long line (which there is room for). Maybe it was a defective stamp?
I would really like to see a macro photo of the tang stamp...

A nice collection of Camillus knives, doglegg. Good show. ::tu::

If there was any question about the 83 by doglegg it wouldn't be in the group.

It is most definitely from the 60's or later. On the fish knife they carried the no line a lot later too. I will try to get you a closer pic tomorrow. Also the navy rope knife had a no line stamp into at least the mid to late 60's.

Tang stamp "Camillus Stainless USA" never had a line.
Here's an examples

I made a mistake. The cursive tang stamp could have a line.

Thanks for the pics Vit. I agree on the stainless blades not having a line. Here is a close up of the 83 Deluxe tang stamp.

I think I've had it at least a couple of years. Always on the look out for another but no luck yet. And thank you. ::handshake::

Thanks for the photo. You probably have the earliest version of #83, which means it must have a real bone handle.
P.S. Dating Camillus knives from photographs can be very difficult :) . Thanks for sharing ::handshake:: .

Added a new member to the no line family out of the bay. It is a US Coast Guard approved but with the no line stamp, not the no line stainless stamp. It has been well used but so have I. Thanks for looking.
