All About Pocket Knives

During WW2 Sir Winston Churchill Started putting together commando units, in different parts of the Theater of the war. One of the units was the Middle East commandos. This unit was made up of men from Israel and Palestine, which is just about as strange as the knuckle knife that the adopted as their carry knife. This knife that I have is unusual in it having matching serial Numbers and a makers mark. From what I understand is most of these Knifes are unmarked. There are a bunch of copies made with a different shape blade, the copies were made for gifts for a vary large Indian wedding, in the 1970s, I think 70s.

Glad it was posted here in "General..." because if it had only been posted in the sub-forum for military knives, I likely wouldn't have seen it since I almost never look at that forum.

Perhaps a better suggestion would be that it would be appropriate to post in the military knives sub-forum ALSO.

What does the serial number 5081 on the knife handle match up with? Is the scabbard also serial numbered?

In the second pic down the SR # is next to the sheath keeper strap.

Looks like the OP got taken out of General Knife Discussion and put into Military Related Knives And Tools. Seems odd; are there rules about what types of knives are or are not allowed in the General discussion forum?
