January 2024 Knife Giveaway

This month we kick off 2024 with a super donation from Fishnguy56 (Guy) who stepped up to the plate in a big way with a Spyderco MBKP Manbug Lightweight, never used, and with the original box!
The Manbug is a uniquely practical folder designed by Spyderco's founder, Sal Glesser. Despite the wide array of knives available to him, the one he carries most often is the Spyderco LadyBug—a small, go-anywhere clipless folder that rides in the pocket. However, as part of Spyderco's quest for C.Q.I. (Constant Quality Improvement), Glesser decided to make it even better. And, for anyone whose male ego made it difficult for them to carry a "LadyBug," he also made life easier. The result is the ManBug, an amazingly handy cutting tool that is more at home in larger hands while still sitting inconspicuously in a pocket or even on a keychain.
Guy states that this knife has never been used but the flat grind is a good feature as is the quality blade steel and the whole thing is lightweight. Good Luck!
Instructions for entering the giveaway...
Simply click here and select a number between 0 and 999.
You will have until January 31st (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number, after which entries will not be considered. The Illinois State Lottery evening pick-three drawing will determine the winner on January 31st.
The individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

To be eligible to win, you must be 18 years of age and either (a) have made at least 100 total forum posts at the time of entering the monthly giveaway or (b) have previously donated successfully to at least one prior monthly knife giveaway.
Please ensure that your Board Preferences Miscellaneous Notifications are set to notify you via email when someone sends you a Private Message (PM) to ensure the time requirements below are met.
The first-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM after the drawing and will have three days to respond with contact and shipping information. If the first-place winner does not respond within three days, the knife will be offered to the next player on the list without going over.
The next-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM, and they will have one day to respond with contact and shipping information. If the next-place winner does not respond within one day, the knife will be offered in the same manner to the next player on the list without going over.

Not to sound too stupid, but how do we know how many times we’ve posted? I’ve asked lots of questions and enjoyed adding to lots of posts, but not sure how many.

DLR110's (David) selection of 287 was 1 away from the winning lottery number drawn last night of 288 making him the winner of that beautiful Spyderco MBKP Manbug Lightweight that Fishnguy56 donated. Congratulations!
A PM has been sent to claim the prize.
This month we had an ineligible participant pick the winning lottery number but with only 2 forum posts since joining, lespaulpal doesn't meet (a) have made at least 100 total forum posts at the time of entering the monthly giveaway or (b) have previously donated successfully to at least one prior monthly knife giveaway.
Thank you to all that participated and to our donor Guy for kicking off the year in fine fashion.

All that good karma from donating to the monthly knife giveaway in 2021,2022 and 2023 is starting to yield dividends. You're going to love that Manbug. When I worked at the knife shop in Delaware before I relocated to NC I had over 2,000 knives to put into my hand and consistently I went for the Manbug because it's just so damn cute. I too don't have a Spyderco in my collection but if I was looking to solve that problem, I'd probably look no further than the Manbug. Use it in good health David!
