For years I’ve searched for very early Cattaraugus knives that do not have Little Valley marked on them. If you have any please post them here. If you have any paperwork showing where they were made or by what factory I’d appreciate it. Please no posts of Cattaraugus knives with Little Valley marked on them. This knife ask ink on it, First one I’ve ever seen with it, very lucky to have it.

Two fine looking examples there, Mike.

If I'm reading Goin's correctly the stamp (Cattarugus Cut Co) came after the Case brothers joined Champlin in 1886.
And they produced knives from 1890 to 1963. I wonder why there are so few CCC stamps to be had.
I also wonder if Goin's information is correct.

Yea Cattaraugus used the name before that I’m sure of. They didn’t have a factory at that time so I’m pretty sure they were jobbed out like the Galvanic marked knives.

Thanks, it’s a whittler with a broken blade. It was the first one I found about 30 years ago.

I have one old Cattaraugus that does not have the Little Valley marking. It's a bit rough...

Nice Brent, when the foil cutter is closed if you press down on it does the corkscrew come up? It looks like it should. Korn patented corkscrew very rare!

It does not, but it seems the tang is worn on the foil cutter (no snap to speak of), so it's possible it did at one time.
