I am not normally into scissors but they I saw the Remington script and made the buy…..what I can’t figure out is why the tips are squared off
Appreciate any feedback!

I’d say they are squared off for safety. Question is were they that way from the factory, or modified later?

I wonder if the tips were broken off, possibly from some use that they were never intended for, like I sometimes see that results in breaking off a knife blade tip ???

A good many knives that I have seen with broken blades also have paint on the handles from opening paint cans.

I wouldn't be surprised if these are the victim of someone's prybar attempt.

Given the points stop differently on each blade, the id a that this was used as prybar makes sense
Thanks!

For safety reason...we used to carry Gingher Scissors at work...the department had every one of these beautiful Scissors squared off...no running with Scissors
