New grind?

I would appreciate it if someone would elaborate on the term 'new grind' please

I have seen it used a few times. If possible a photo of new grind v regular(?) grind to illustrate the differerence would be very educational. Thanks

Go to top right click on other then on more then glossary of terms then cursor down to new grind. Click on picture.
Bryan is pretty informative eh.

This should show you the difference pretty good, new grind blades were used if not mistaken for about 1 1/2 yrs. 1983/1984 suppose to made blades stonger at the tang,due to expense it was dropped. If you look at the tangs you will see how the grind curves back toward top of blade on "New Grind" like in bottom photo. Regular Grind goes straight across bottom to top of blade. Hope this helps you out

No telling how many time I have used the research center here very complete and helpful when I am looking for information, I am new to collecting myself couple years now. Books and the net have helped me make good choices so for as buying knives
