All About Pocket Knives

I know the AB Italy, but not sure about the F/L. It looks familiar.

Neglected to post pics of the entire knife. Here they are, 10-3/4" open.

Love the knife. I have no idea on the letters. Nice knife!

This ones a mystery to me. Here's all I've got, and it ain't much.

I've seen that F/L mark before, and seen it referenced before. Unfortunately none of the references explain what it means. But What I have noticed is- The F/L mark only appears on 11" Armando Beltrame knives with dagger grinds. However, it only appears on a specific type of dagger grind.

Here are some pictures to demonstrate. The first two pics are F/L Armando B knives with blades just like yours. The F/L knives have grinds that curve, end gradually, sloping up at the ricasso. But the other AB knives with dagger blades have grinds that end straight and abrupt (bottom two knives). Those knives don't have the F/L mark. So my guess would be, F/L is the mark of whoever ground those blades for Armando. But this is just speculation.

These are just a few examples that I have seen.

You're welcome John. I don't know how many were produced with that grind, but based on the very few I've seen, and the even fewer references to them I've been able to find, this would lead me to believe they are rare. They are definitely rare online.
