SELLER ALERT - NON PAYEE

Hello AAPK Sellers
Just a heads up about a purchaser that never sent funds. I didn't send the knife so I'm good but I had to relist it, which is easy, and out of over 100 knives sold on AAPK this is only the second time this has happened. Hate to rag on a fellow knife enthusiast but if a John Ruvo III from Scottsdale Arizona buys one of your knives, or anything you might have for sale, you might as well cancel the sale and relist the item as he won't send the payment. I try to give a guy the benefit of the doubt but after four or so emails requesting some explanation, crickets! He indicated he would send payment the next day and then several days later I emailed him to find out if he sent it and the reasoning for not sending was that he was on the road for business and he would check with his wife to see if she sent it. Again, crickets. Maybe something came up, who knows. If this situation should clear itself up I'll post a retract.

Thanks for taking the time to post about this grifter.

Knife grifters are the worst, and all too common.

Probably hoping you will ship before the payment comes through.

Yes, shipping prior to receiving payment is a no go. I've been around too long to fall for that one. We'd all like to think everyone is on the up and up, and 99% of the knife people here at AAPK are, but that 1% will get ya sooner or later. From all my sales, over 120, I've had 3 instances of non-payment so the ship after pay is SOP.
Take Care out there.
