All About Pocket Knives

I’m in the process of helping a widow with her late husband’s collection. He had some very nice Case TESTED XX and XX knives, which I have been able to identify. There are two I do not recognize. They may be fakes but before I tell her that for certain I’m soliciting other opinions and comments. I’m certain these weren’t made by Case, and have never seen the pattern before, but maybe were made on contract for Case. I’d appreciate your thoughts including who might have made them.

They don't look at all right to me Ken.

Sargent's is my best reference book for old, odd-ball Case knives. If you can't find them there, . . .

Looking at these Ken made me immediately think Fighting Rooster for some reason. Wonder if they were made in Germany? Or someone used FnR knives as their bases for a fake? Just my impression. Nothing else to go on.

I would have to say, total fakes as nothing about them looks correct - patterns, handle material, blade finishes.

Thanks to all who commented so far. You confirmed my opinion. I also had the thought that they look German.

I'll go ahead and tell the widow the consensus is that they're fakes. I do not know her well (she's a friend of a friend) and a nice lady trying to learn about her late husband's collection.
