I have never done a birds eye conversion. Can you provide some details on how it is done?

Well I use a 1/4” nickle silver washer and inset it with a forshner bit then from the backside drill pin hole through it from the liner. Then pretty much the same as a traditional knife. Peen file sand buff.
The first 3 or 4 I did I absolutely hated but once figured out no different than any other.
I have a manual hole cutter to cut the NS washer/disc. Cheapo from harbor freight.

They have gone up in price since I got mine. I paid $14.
I buy Nickle silver in sheets from Jantz supply. (One sheet will last years)
