All About Pocket Knives

I have a gold glitter W R Case with an arched tang stamp. I did some research and read about some arched tangs. There were no pictures in the post but description like arched over USA. Well this one I have is arched but it wasnt described in the descriptions of arched tangs on Case knives. I have a shadowbox of counterfeit Case knives (a group of wallhangings from an old brick and mortar store) that show fake stamps and the stamp itself on this one looks clean and centered compared to the counterfeits. I am just wondering if it is a counterfeit and would like a more trained eye.

That is a legitimate but rare stamp. Looks like probably an 051 pattern (GS1051 LP).

Here’s a picture of the stamp as shown in Witcher’s Counterfeiting Antique Cutlery. It has probably the most thorough collection of authentic old stamps (all makers) of any resource book I’ve seen.

I am far from a Case expert, but when I try to "read the knife" instead of reading the tang stamp, I see nothing out of place. I would not expect to see a counterfeit with that real goldstone celluloid. No signs of tampering from the pictures.
Looks like a beautiful Honest Old Knife to me!

Another example of an arched W.R. Case & Sons trademark stamping. My understanding is the arched stamp is often accompanied with "Made in USA" which I believe often means the knife is a contract knife made by another manufacturer, but sold as a "Case" knife. This example probably is a very late example of a W.R. Case & Sons knife because it also has a "Tested XX" stamp. W.R. Case & Sons did not have rights to this trademark until 1914.
