tested frame

I have just obtained an old XX era 050 single blade coke bottle style frame...my question is: could this pattern have been made with the tested frame yet stamped XX and if so could someone sent me a pic? Thanks

Winst, I am not really sure what you are asking. Are you talking about the frame for the 5 1/8" flat ground blade ?0050 pattern that doesn't have the copperhead type bolster? If so my answer would be no, that frame should not have a XX stamped blade. If not I am unaware of a different type frame for the 5 3/8" C61050 XX coke bottle.
Do you have a picture of the knife you are asking about? Can you tell us the frame length?
