The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.
I had the opportunity to buy this last week and I jumped on it. I know this maker made these same knives for Tuna Valley but I have never seen one made on a Queen brand. The blade is stamped with DFC so it was during the time the Daniels family owned Queen and they had this same piece produced for Tuna Valley. I’m just in awe of this knife. The actual clock pieces in the acrylic and the wonderful engraving on the bolsters. The file work is pretty sweet too. Just a few sharp edges on the file work on the blade, but not the usual rough edges you see so many times on file worked backsprings and blades. The COA says this is a prototype. If they made more than one of these, please let me know.

That is an amazing knife, SSK. If I understand you correctly, those are actually metal watch parts embedded in acrylic: very cool to see. Certainly I have never seen anything like those handles, and I have to admit that the uniqueness of the handles kind of overshadows the the very fine workmanship of the bolsters and blade. I can see why you wanted that one!
Mel, it’s actually resin I found out. But those are actual watch parts in those handles. What a neat idea for handle material. The file work is very nicely done as is the engraving on the bolsters. I wish I had talent and creativity like this.
