All About Pocket Knives

Pawn shop find. 5" closed, mint, unresharpened. Possibly 1980's Parker product. I read that he bought out the Wostenholm Sheffield blades and shipped them to Japan for frames. Can't confirm that but it makes some sense. Anyway, its a really nice piece. Won't brag on the price. J.O'.

My only Wostenholm/Japan, smooth bone 3 and 3/4" stockman. I would have to agree that they are 1980s Japan/Parkers. The fit and finish on this stockman is quite good.

What a gorgeous knife, J.O'., it looks as solid as the day is long.
Although I don't know for sure, your assessment of it being connected with Parker makes perfect sense, it has that Parker "look".
I assume you're not pleased with the price you paid, unfortunately, pawn shops are one of the worst places to buy anything from, they get you when you bring things in to pawn by offering 25% of it's true value and sticking to that price no matter how much you try to barter, and they get you on the way out by clipping you for high interest on your "loan" when you pay it back.
There's more retired pawn shop owners living in the Bahamas than any other profession, or it sure seems that way! Retired Dairy Queen ice-cream store owners run a close second! lol!
