This display board of 27 SAKs is for sale at Mertz Antique Firearms, a longtime purveyor of vintage weapons in Minnesota. He has plenty of close-up photos. Find them under Miscellaneous > Bladed Weapons. (Patience, the website is slow.) He says it’s a factory board but I’m skeptical. Enjoy the guns too.

That kind of looks like the bottom of a drawer in an old dresser in my man-cave ... just throw in some beer koozies a couple of pairs of sunglasses 🕶🕶and a couple of Leatherman tools and that's a match

I would be a little skeptical, too. Though the board itself could be factory (we'd need a Wenger expert to confirm that), the knives seem to cover quite a span of production. Some have the "dogleg" can opener, and others have the "lobster claw" type. Not having had confirmation from a Wenger expert yet, my guess is that someone found an empty board and filled it with whatever knives he could scare up. Sure was cool to see it, though!

... Could that board have been something to do with ...The 1st Cavalry Division?

I've got doubts too, but it's a neat display. One thing about it dog they're both army, Swiss and American, ain't that cheesy.
