This isn't my knife. It's in a local auction. Thoughts on the knife and ballpark value would be appreciated. Sorry for the bad pic - it's all they offer and why I'd like opinions. Also, they just say old pocketknife with no other description.

Thank you.

Valuable 1930’s Remington bullet utility knife when in mint condition , that one is just average , I would say 500-800 if the bone isn’t cracked and the blades have good snap .

Thank you. I thought that's what it was. The bad thing about these online auctions is you get one picture and no description. It's 50 miles to go to the preview. If you get there to pick it up and the back handle is cracked, they tell you that you should have came to the preview. I don't bid high on these. People that live close and go to the preview have a huge advantage.

Looks like a buyer beware. Too bad you are 50 miles away.

Voyles does the same thing with his auctions, also everything is graded "near mint" even if a scale is missing. So I stopped following his auctions. I can only imagine what pristine Bullet knives are going for these days . . . ::mdm::

I should have added that with tax and commission there was 23% added to the auction price. I think only 2 people were bidding once it got past about $300.00.
