I went with Kevin ( knifeaddict1965) to the show Friday and picked up 2 knives
I really like.

The first one is a Boker that has thuya wood for handles. The handles drew
me to getting this knife. I know what quality Boker usually has and this
is no exception. It is from 1982. The sharpening stone was a nice addition
to the presentation.

The second is a Pal knife. I again really liked the handles ( bone this time ) and wanted
to add another USA brand knife to my collection. The previous owner over-
buffed the blades a bit but I will accept it.

My short research shows the Pal brand was not around for a long time.
I think the knife is from the early 50's.

If you want to go to a really good knife show, it should happen again in 12 months.

Nice pick-ups Bob, it was good to meet you. I hate to wish my life away, but I hope next August gets here quick, cause I'm ready to go back and get some more knives.

Fine pickups Bob. I am loving your Boker; the scales are beautiful.

Very nice catches Bob! I really like the Boker and am going to have to look for some of that Thuya (sp?) wood, The Pal is a real nice oldie, but someone it looks like someone treated it to a session with the belt sander. But, I'm sure it will make a nice EDC. Well done Sir! ::tu:: ::tu::

Bob - That is a nice pair of knives you picked up at the show. I have one of those Bokers: it is a very nice knife and stone combo.

Thanks guys for all the kind comments. I think I will put a light patina
on the Pal so as to decrease the super shine the previous owner put
on the blades.
