Looks legitimate. Browning did have some knives made in Germany(and Japan). I have a similar model made in the USA and it doesn't have the antler logo either.

Your knife is genuine. The first two Browning pocketknives were introduced in 1971 (Models 2518 and 3018). The early USA models had a match strike nail nick, but in 1973 they changed the nail nick to the regular style nail nick. They eventually switched production to Germany and then to Japan. I checked my German models and one had a match strike (the same model as yours) while the others had a regular nail nick. The quality of these pocketknives has always been excellent. I also have a Browning pocketknife that was made in Italy. The stag logo that you mentioned is known as the Browning "Buckmark" and it was introduced in 1981. The pocketknives made in the USA were made by Queen.

So Gumshoe from what you said about the German Browning that you have, which is like mine, what would you say is the model number and approximate year of manufacture?

Yep. You said K-7-K, I also have a similar model made in the USA and it doesn't have the antler logo either.
