Update on Alyson July 2023

I know a lot of you guys have been praying for my wife, Alyson, for more than 2 years now as she is battled with breast cancer and now with cancer in her liver and in her spine. We really do appreciate your prayers and the prayers of everyone who is praying for her!
For those of you who may be reading about this for the first time I am including, with her permission, an update she wrote for a Facebook group of her friends that are praying for her.
This is what she wrote:
"Diagnosed with BC Mar 2021 and went thru right breast mastectomy, 3 mos chemo and 5 wks radiation plus reconstruction. I went in remission from July 2022 to Oct 2022 when a tumor was discovered in my liver. The breast cancer had metastasized , and 5 spots on my upper spine showed cancer plus 4 that are degenerative in lower spine. I found out with the CT scan (last week) that the targeted meds aren't working on the liver, but the spinal ones have remained unchanged. I've been taking them for 4 months, and liver lesion has grown. Doc on vacation til next week, but he checked his notes and saw my info. The Lynparza has kept the spinal cancer in check but not the liver. I will be looking at IV therapy next. I feel helpless and in the dark about what's coming next."
We should have an appointment with the doctor this week as he is back from vacation, and hopefully we will know a little more about the extent of the cancer and what the plan of treatment will be.
We appreciate your prayers for her recovery and for the doctors to have wisdom and how to treat this cancer. Also I would appreciate your prayers for me, for physical strength to care for her and to be sensitive and supportive to her.
Through all of this we have found God to be very faithful to us, and has provided for our needs, both financially and for the strengths to get through this.
Irregardless of the outcome, God is in control. One of Alyson's favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11
" For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
We also know that we do not live forever in this world. Our future and our hope is in heaven, not on this Earth. Whatever the outcome of this disease will happen to be, we will praise God and thank him for his love, his Mercy and salvation!
Thank you again for your prayers.
God bless you all!
Dale
