All About Pocket Knives

Hello all = It has been a while since I have posted last. I have no other reason than age, money, and motivation. I am glad to see all the new members. I have a knife that My wife gave me quite a few years ago. It is a tortoise shell knife and I never really looked at the stamp and quite honestly could not see it that well. I just revisited it and put a very high mag glass on it and this is what I drew. I could not photograph it. It is too dark and too small. Anyone know the manufacturer? I suspect it is from Germany but don't know for sure.

Goins' has a listing for "J R S I Feinstahl" (crossed spears, with a letter in each corner)", but no other information. Feinstahl means fine steel, if I'm not mistaken.

I searched JRS Feinstahl on Google and actually found one for sale here on AAPK.

Here is the stamp.
