Can someone help me pin down the dates that Schrade/Imperial used the trade name Jack-master ??

I'm curious now too, here is a catalog from 1952 under the (imperial) Hammer Brand .

Found this tidbit at BladeForum. It is implied that the Jackmaster line began in 1985 and ran through 2004, but made in Ireland, unless I'm reading it wrong. Codger-64 provided this info post...and he knows what he's talking about.

In 1985, The Imperial Knife Associated Companies name was changed to Imperial Schrade Corp., and the company's U.S. operations were combined under one roof in Ellenville, with the exception of the Jackmaster line being made in the Stag Cutlery, LTD., factory in Listowel, Ireland. IKAC purchased the vacant Channelmaster factory in Ellenville.

In March of 2004, Imperial Stag/Imperial Schrade Europe, a subsidiary of US-based Imperial Schrade Corp., closed the Listowel, County Kerry Ireland factory after 43 years.

LJ that was just referring to where the knives were produced after they merged production of knives from both companies in Ellenville, NY. Previous to that the Jackmasters were produced in Providence, RI and Ireland. I'm fairly certain the Jackmasters came into being right after WWII.

Thanks Eric, for clarifying that. Thought I was on to something there, but interpreted wrong. I did enjoy searching it out though for a while, for what it was worth.
