All About Pocket Knives

Hi guys. I recently acquired quite a few knives . I cannot find this exact Remington knife anywhere.
Can anyone tell me it’s value? It has like new “snap”

Welcome to AAPK. My old resource book by H. Price says your knife was worth a little over $200 if it were mint back a number of years ago. Yours appears to be in very nice condition and the celluloid appears to be holding up well so I'd guess it's still worth about the same as a mint one was worth when Price wrote his book. I agree with John and disagree with Dave. Gorgeous example! Price's book prices were higher than most sold for then and most Remingtons have gone down in value on the bay and at knife shows in the last 5-6 years. I have a lot of mint Remington hunters, they were worth 20-50 percent more twenty years ago. Many Remington folders have dropped too, nice bullets are way down too. Like with any collectible desirability changes with time and desirability drives prices more than rarity. I'd watch ebay for easy open Remington jacks and sooner or later a near mint one will be sold and you'll have a current value. One day collectors go crazy for folding hunters, a couple years later they all want whittlers, brands vary the same. Celluloid has become a hard sell too, as more folks learn the danger of celluloid gassing out they lose interest. Personally I think the celluloid on your knife is one of the more stable ones but some (many) collectors are more leery of celluloid than they were twenty years ago. I love the knife myself but try to avoid the cell.

Duck man, your R205 is a very nice example in great condition. Pyremite is Remington’s version of celluloid. I have collected knives for over 55 years and Remington for over 25 and have seen fewer than 5 gas. The Pyremite formula is very stable. Your R205 is a rare color in great condition. I would place a retail value at $350-$450. Welcome to the family of Remington knife collectors.
