Picture posting question

When I take a phone pic I always take it in the "landscape" mode, holding the phone sideways. Depending I guess, on the size of the image, my all-powerful and knowing computer either leaves it as taken or rotates it 90 degrees. This irks me. Is there any way to insure I get the posted orientation I want ? I'm using an I-phone 12 and a junky Chromebook. Thank you. J.O'.

When you go to PHOTOS on your iPhone, it allows you to edit them - rotate if you wish.

I post photos straight from my phone and they are oriented like they should be, the ole phone I had I had to edit each picture to get it right. ::handshake::

If its the same problem that others have experienced, you'll need to put the picture into "edit" mode and then post it. You don't have to actually edit anything - somehow just putting it through edit fixes the problem. My understanding is the issue has to do with some software not playing nice with other software. It only happens with some devices but not others.

Thanks everyone. The irksome thing is it's inconsistent. I try the simple edit thing. ::handshake:: O'.

If you want to do away with all those headaches, get Apple products. Once you have an iMac and iPhone, your troubles are long gone. It doesn't get any easier. I will never go back to a PC. Ever.

Per this post in AAPK Tips and Tricks forum, using an Apple or Android system or a PC, etc has nothing to do with it. viewtopic.php?f=98&t=50431

It’s a post from several years ago so things may have changed since then, I seem to recall seeing something from Bryan saying he tinkered with the AAPK hosting software in an attempt to improve the picture orientation problem. ::shrug::
