On this day in history
On this day in history
June 6, 1944
Normandy
Led by U.S. General Dwight D. Eisenhower, an Allied armada of ships, planes, and landing craft and some 156,000 troops began the invasion of northern France from England this day in 1944—the famous “D-Day” of World War Ii.
The world is forever indebted to those who fought and stopped the madness in Europe and the Pacific theaters.
America and a coalition of allies at their finest.
RIP that entire generation.

Not much in the way of news coverage on the D-day this year. At least from what I saw...

It is like December 7, 1941. If we make a big deal about those dates we might annoy our good friends Japan and Germany. I suppose it is best to let go of the anger. But I am still angry about Rome's actions in Britain in Ad 60. And about the actions of the British troops in Scotland and America in the 1700s. So I am not that big on forgiving and forgetting! I say celebrate our victories or battles on the day they happened. And if the British, Germans, or Japanese do not like it, then bring it on!

...I think the Left think of it as an instruction manual and not so much as a warning...

That reminds me, ... my 3-year-old niece has NOT been to a Drag-Queen-Strip-Show/pole-dancing show yet, I need to contact our local public library and the local children's museum, they seem to promoting these things about every two weeks... I can't let my niece turn 3 and 1/2 without attending... it might be considered child abuse...
P.S. (There was a flier in a library branch near me for "Drag Queen Story Hour" and a picture of apparently Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame in heavy makeup reading to the happy little children. How wonderful! )

As a nation the most important crisis facing us in NOT having enough Drag Queen shows/story hours for every child every day. It is because we live in a society of bigotry and HATE... We need to replace the "3 Rs" with the "3 Ts" ....
