Coricama Navy knife

Has anyone ever heard of this brand. The knife is very similar to the the one below and is stamped CORICAMA in the pile side tang. Could be a Japanese copy?? Thanks for any info. J.O'.

The one you show is Dutch, but the one you mention is Italian. Both of these are copies of the WWII British Army pattern.
I have two. A surplus place was selling two packs for $15, and these were the two I got.
Bianchi, made in the city of Campobasso.
Apparently, Campobasso has a history of knifemaking, but they don't seem as well known as Maniago.

Visconti, made in Canzo. Postwar, nearly every street in Canzo had a scissors factory.

Thanks Cody. My cousin found one for $20 and I wasn't familiar with the brand. Learn something new everyday.

By the way, have you ever heard of anybody faking the Colonial/United, Air Crew survival knife with the saw? We just found one that looks perfect except the blade stamp is ground off but the blade is still black. It's a bit of a mystery. Maybe a factory second ? Thanks again. O'.

Coricama is an old and establish brand (Cutlers united of Caslino and Maniago). Maniago being the center of Italian knives. You can google them , but here are a couple pics.
They are pattern copies of the British as mentioned above, Coricama, Visconti, Bianchi are popular (but not all too common) brands, and many just have no markings at all.

The Sailor at the bottom is the Coricama, but they made both models ...

I’ve a Sheffield made 1944 ^ , very solid knife

Noticing the difference in the pins on older models, I like it - now i can keep an eye out for those.

S.H. If I am not mistaken...
I still have a few Bianchi made patterns, with and without the spike and a couple w/o markings. They are great and interesting knives. A few years ago, it seemed as if there were a lot for sale on the secondary market.
