Glad you found it!
I believe I have same Treebrand congress, it's an easy knife to carry. Mine gets some pocket time every couple of weeks.
Did you catch enough bass for supper?

Nice bass, that size makes for tasty filets.

Good job cleaning up the knife!

I have a Shapleigh fishing knife that I discovered had rusted up badly while stored in my wooden machinists chest.

I will post a thread over in the Schrade channel as I think that is who made the knife.

Congratulations! I am so glad that you found yours. That knife looks like a one should - like a user.
My Father-in-Law gave me a Boker congress that he had worn half out. I often carry it on Sundays and think of him.

After cleaning a Rainbow trout, I left a Case XX 6383 on a rock in the Tellico River about 1976. I always hoped that someone found it before the river got up and washed it away.

It is nice that you have a knife that you often use. It is even better that
you found it after a loss!

Finding a long-lost knife (that cleaned up quite nicely) and catching a good quantity of fish...that's a successful day! ::tu::

::hmm:: So the patina looks great! I love a nice finish like that on my carbon steel blades ::tu:: ... ::hmm:: ..And to think I am spending a bunch of time mixing up mustard and vinegar solutions into a paste to apply on the blades to get a sweet patina like that and all I had to do was go fishing... ::paranoid:: ... ::skeptic:: What was I thinking? ::skeptic:: ... ::facepalm::
