All About Pocket Knives

Henckels knife with friodur on the blades. Gentleman's pocket knife. Can't find much on it. Unsure of age and scale type. Jade, maybe? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

"Friodur" is Henckels name for their "ice-hardening" process on their edges. The scales look like some kind of plastic? Age? Nice piece, good luck with it. J.O'.

I have a similar knife--much darker green, but otherwise very close. I'd be surprised if the handles are actually jade, though the knife certainly feels heavier than I think it would if they were plastic. And jade is not particularly robust as a material, so I'd be afraid of it breaking. But...who knows?

Wondering how they're attached, no pins. Maybe they're some type of acrylic/ceramic ? I agree that jade seems impractical. J.O'.

Thanks for the replies and info. I think it's too light for jade but the colour looks similar to it. It's a nice little knife for my collection anyway.
