Caught A Piranha

This is an interesting catch.

It's a Piranha Pocket Tactical. The handle is aircraft grade aluminum. The blade is 3.2" and made of 154cm steel.

And the blade is razor sharp out of the box, sharper than any other knife I own.

It's very light and the grip is excellent.

They don't have much of an online presence. It's a very small family company in Idaho, 100% American made.

I like it! Anyone else have one?

I usually favor more traditional knives, but that does look pretty cool.

The knife has kind of a "low rent" charm. The piranha trademark looks like the owner's 12 year old grandkid designed it. The grip is light and simple aluminum. The blade has no trademark or steel type identifiers on it.

Still, it's razor sharp and snaps open with speed and authority. Absolutely no wobble and is perfectly centered.

It's a no frills, high quality, made in the USA knife. I love it!

I don't have such a knife, but I like the look of it. A quick search seems to indicate that Piranha produces primarily, if not solely, automatics.

Correct. I'm going to buy one of their OTFs as soon as I can afford it. They are pricey.

They're nice, quality knives. I have a red Bodyguard.

It's interesting that the company seems to do NO marketing. They just put out product.

I guess it works as a business model if a company finds its niche.

Nice knife, Rich, it's their "Fingerling" model, yes?
Piranha is making some of the coolest autos made today.
I would eventually like a copy of their "Prowler" and "Bodyguard" models, they look like great knives!
