I can only make out a couple letters on the Hawkbill. Would anyone be able to recognize this? Thanks for any input

I see what looks like "GTON". The Southington knives I have use the same font, so it might be that.

If that's a Southington that's a real keeper and it would be otherwise but Southington stopped making knives in 1905.

The "INGTONS" I know of are: Worthington, Washington, Southington, Rivington(Sheffield), Remington, Harrington, and maybe others. I'm a hawkbill nut with about 90 of them and I really like your handle. Wish I could tell you more. I'll go through mine and see if there's a half-moon stamp. Good luck with it. J.O'.

Whoops, meant to ask. Did you try using a lead pencil to try to reveal the stamp a little better. That can sometimes help. J.O'.

I will try that and see if I can make it out better. I used a black marker and wiped it off but didn’t help much

I'd still try the pencil and don't wipe it off. Maybe if you can get a little better focus. I think it's American, doesn't look British.I went through mine and none of the "ingtons" had a half-moon mark. ?? Somebody might come along with the answer. Hope so. J.O'.

Just did a search in AAPK for Southington and indeed they did have a half moon mark with "CUT.Co." under the arch, so maybe we're closer. ::tu:: J.O'.
