Book about switchblades...

I have a book about switchblades, published about 1982...history of switchblades, by two Mayers!? It has the original signature of both authors on first page inside...the dust cover is blue...this one says #260 of 1500.
My question now....was there more then one edition, more books printed over the years...and does it has any $$$ value!???

The Meyers' book was the first book that dealt with switchblades. As ephemera, your would be of value-especially with the autographs.
I don't know if there were subsequent editions, but I doubt it. As most writers have found out, selling more than a thousand copies of a switchblade book is difficult-and it was even more so in the early days of collecting.
While it was a ground-breaking work, the book is full of misinformation that subsequent research has uncovered.
I have the original book, and a PDF version in my library.

I bought that book in about 1984. I remember the early days of collecting and switchblades seemed to be harder to find in the 1980s although there were some at guns shows in Dallas and Memphis. I only recall seeing a picklock once in the 1980s and I didn't buy one until about 1994.

Check library catalogs and online bookstores for other editions of this book. Some specialty bookstores and auctions may also be helpful. I was recently looking for information about "army sharp" and found
here a lot of useful stuff. So if you have a desire, you just need to look. Everything can be found, anyone can prove it to you.

Try to find information about the book on the Internet, using keywords from the book's title and the names of the authors.
