This picklock is marked "JNR" with a crown (?) over the "N", and "GARANTIE" beneath. I have seen some German knives with the word "Garantie" on them, but none with "JNR". Anyone recognize this brand? Italian? Age?

If that is a monogram(and I think it is), it should read J R N. That may help to identify the maker.

I think the brand is German. The knife was made in Italy for them.

GARANTE means Guaranteed. It could be an Italian, Spanish or French marking

It's actually "Garantie," which seems more Teutonic.
I find no reference to the mark in my German references.
Regardless- it's the mark of a seller, not the maker of the knife.

Thanks all, for the info. The knife works well, and overall is in pretty good shape for something as old as I am!
