a couple more GEC mods

I was sent a crown lifter and an 88 yeti to work on. Shockingly enough, I didn't do these in stag!

The crown lifter I did in Ironwood, and the 88 I did in amber jigged bone. New shields on both...

Gorgeous work on both knives Glenn! I really like the look of that ironwood and have always been a sucker for those "bollocks" shields. ::tu:: ::tu::

Great job Glenn, up to your usual high standards!
The jig bone is beautiful but the desert Ironwood is spectacular! ::tu:: ::tu::

Thanks Dale! I like the look of the Ironwood also. I'm doing a few kitchen knife blank projects with Ironwood for a co-worker right now.

That sounds great Glenn, don't forget the pics! ::tu::

I did a 26 set piece of knives for my nephew's wife some years ago. They turned out nice but it's a lot more work than I want to do again!

I would love to see how your knives come out.

Excellent pair Glen, love the bone, the jigging, the color of that Bayou trapper. Looks old. Whoever is making that or dying that has got it down. If it's you kudos, you've mastered it. Fabulous aged look. Gorgeous wood too.

I can't take credit for the bone, that's Culpepper. They do great dye and jigging work, so no reason to re-invent the wheel.

Ask and ye shall receive, Dale! I finally finished these up for my co-worker.
