In the process of looking thru some old knife magazines, I happened upon this article in the fall 1995 issue of "Tactical Knives". It was written by Blackie Collins and is about his development of a hand held sharpener which he called the "SharpShooter". He talks of the features he designed into this sharpener to make it easy to use and his approaching Case in hopes of selling them his design for production and sales by Case. The SharpShooter shown in the article is evidently his prototype, as Case at the time of the article had not picked it up. I was just wondering if any of you Case collectors had ever seen one of these or if Case ever did put it into production?

I've never seen one before. Doesn't mean they didn't sell any but if they did it wasn't many. Case did make a number of Blackie Collins designed knives and gadgets though, most in the mid-to-late 1990s.

Sorry my original picture was not very good, the original in the mag was quite dark. It has a grip on it like a 1911 pistol, thus the name sharpshooter. Hopefully this pic shows it a little better.
