Cousin Fred ,who collects fixed blades, gave me this mint 886. Sweet knife. It's a hoss, 8-5/8" open. Their final mark. (Kinda sad to hold it and think that a great American company like that is gone.) Really glad to have it and pass it down. J.O'.

Pretty sure Buck is the original.Nothing against Buck but I sort of like the smoother edges of the Camillus scales and bolsters. I know Buck guys want those corners sharp. Both great knives. J.O'.

The Back 110 started in 1964, and the Camillus 886 in 1988.
