Asbury Spontaneous Revival Going On

Asbury College in Wilmore Kentucky is in the middle of another revival like what broke out back in the 1960’s, the subject of a book called “One Divine Moment”. This is now the 6th day. You can live stream this on You Tube.
It wasn’t planned it just happened, like before. From what I’ve read it has spread to other Christian colleges, Anderson, Cedarville and some others. It’s very exciting to see this happening again.

Another encouraging sign ! The theater presentations of The Chosen has done very well lately also. I can't wait to see the young people awaken and rise up.

This is very encouraging to me! It is still going on at Asbury College, I believe this is day 9.
There are lots of people there from around the world, apparently a lot of people from Brazil. There is a live feed on YouTube with all of the comments in Brazilian, I guess that would be Portuguese. There is also several other live feeds or pieces of them on YouTube. There is a lot of information about it on YouTube as well. I watched the video of the chapel service that preceded the prayer and worship that followed. I would say it's an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, it's certainly not because of the chapel speaker's dynamic speaking style. He was a good speaker but not a Billy Graham. The point is there's no celebrity figure or charismatic person that this is built around. From all accounts I have heard, it is a grassroots movement of the students, and now other people as well who are seeking the presence of the Lord.
I would encourage us to pray into it, that God would continue to pour out his Spirit on all who are seeking him and that this movement would sweep across the country and around the world!
As usual I have seen a video or two on YouTube that was critical of what's going on at Asbury. I think it's very premature to be judgmental of what God is doing here. As Jesus said, no one puts new wine in old wineskins because the wineskins will burst as the wine ferments. I believe what we are seeing here is new wine from the Lord and it may not fit well in our conventional wineskins. It definitely looks different than previous revivals but from all the testimony lives are being changed, some people are being healed and people are coming to know the Lord.
That is what matters the most!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Well said Dale, AMEN!
Those that are critical are in real danger of quenching the Spirit. Those that attribute this to the devil are blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Both are sins that I wouldn’t want to be guilty of. Especially blaspheming the Holy Spirit. I believe Jesus said that is the one unforgivable sin.
Thank you Dale.

That is WONDERFUL!!!
I pray that this will continue and spread like a WILD FIRE through our nation!
Maybe this is a "get off the fence" time.
Praise the Lord!

Alyson was feeling good enough today that we went out and had coffee with our former pastor and his wife. I was talking to the pastor about Asbury and someone had sent him a list of 22 colleges that had been affected by the Revival at Asbury. Apparently there are 22 colleges that are experiencing a Revival similar to Asbury. That is awesome news! Praise the Lord for that!
I saw today on YouTube that Asbury College is playing on ending the Revival on the 22nd of February. That is sad to me, but I understand that the college is small and so is the town. There are thousands of people everyday coming there to be part of the Revival. I hope and pray that everyone who is there will take this revival back home with them!

At Samford University here, it started with one individual that went into Reed Chapel and started playing piano and singing, alone. Someone heard him and came in, then others and then others. Eventually, almost two hundred and growing.
Granted, it’s a Christian college, Southern Baptist, actually.
Pray it spreads to state colleges and universities and to secular schools and high schools.

Thank you Dale. I’m very encouraged and excited to hear that so many colleges are experiencing this. I’m sure Asbury won’t shut it down before it’s suppose to end. If there are still enough people crying out to God, they will keep it going as long as it needs to. There gets to a point where these things have run their course. It’s like the disciples taking the gospel unto all the world, not just Jerusalem.
I was incorrect in my date on the first time this happened at Asbury, it was in the winter of 1970. The book is called One Divine Moment.
Glad to hear that Alyson is feeling well enough to go out, that’s a blessing.
