U.S.A.. Knife

Wondering what this one is. Looks to be well made and a stag or bone handle. 5 1/2 closed and 9 1/2 open. Is it a china item?

I think that ALCAS made those as a limited edition, that one plus one made with Pakkawood handles. about 1976. Not certain on that, however.

Steve is correct.
According to Bruce Voyles.
These were a bicentennial set made by Alcas for Parker-Frost. One stag one wood in a walnut box.
He valued them in 1995 at $200-$400 per set.

I think there's been a full two knife set in the box for sale in an AAPK store for a while now, listed at $225 I think.

Schrade folding hunter. Nice user, not a lot of collector value.

Re: your Granddad's knife: Premier Knife was a Canadian/American importer 1921-?. Their knives were from Germany and Japan. Yours has the look of a Japanese make. The value is in the family story. My best guess. J.O'.
