Does anyone know the approximate age of this Bonsa switchblade?

What's the deal with those knives being notorious for blade peaking, F1? Just about everyone I see for sale has the disclaimer "blade peaks a little" or similar. Peaking occurs due to the catch-hole on the blade being enlarged, correct? If so, could that not have been eliminated by pressing the lever to bring the sear-catch up and out of the way when you fold the blade closed, thus preventing the sear from dragging across the tang and creating a "path" as it approaches the hole, as well as saving the wear and tear on the sear tip? Or have I got my terminology all wrong?

yep mine peaked also someone stole mine from my house so have no idea wher its at today anyways with blade peaking it could be 1 of 3 things , 1. blade hole is getting wore out, 2. sear itself is getting wore out , 3. hole in liner is getting wore out , it could be any of these or a combination of them , well lets see what is the weakest metal here blade ? sear ? or liners ? i think the weakest metal would wear out fasest right but not always the case

Actually, these beautiful knives have handles made of chrome plated zinc. Zinc is very soft, and the sear hole in the handle wears out very quickly, causing blade peek.
