::hmm:: How 'bout a thread on; "Money saving knife buying tips for the current economy to stretch your knife buying Dollars"?

I am saving money by making my own multi-tool and saving on the cost of an expensive Gerber or Leatherman tool ::paranoid:: ...or an even more expensive Swiss Army Multi-tool.

How 'bout you? How have you stretched your "knife-bucks" (not to be confused ::skeptic:: with "Buck Knives" ::paranoid:: )

There is no question that times are tough. How tough? I could not afford that new Swiss Army knife I wanted, so I made my own. It consists of salvaged items such as a broken stub from a hacksaw blade, clip blade salvaged from an advertiser knife, sheepsfoot, file, and bottle opener salvaged from a Trim Trio, an uncut car key blank, and a 4 way Powerful Pete pocket screwdriver. It is held together with a screw and a wingnut. lol Actually I made this when I was about 8 years old and couldn't afford a SAK. I wore a hole in several pants pockets carrying that one.
